For those charged with the stewardship of investment capital (i.e. asset owners, financial advisors, CIO's, consultants) we offer access via our knowledge of and contacts with; direct investment sources, asset managers (SMAs, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Fund of Funds, etc.), technology providers (Quants, TAMPS, Portfolio Tracking & Accounting, Performance Reporting, etc.), custodians, and others.
We assist investors, CIO's and advisors in the discovery of superior investment and administrative solutions and may, on rare occasions, act on behalf of the solution provider to develop potential sources of new business. However our approach is unique and gives us an edge over traditional placement firms or marketing groups because we act independently first, attempting to help clients find a solution in the areas they seek rather than presenting a limited offering that may or may not meet their needs. We function as an independent search consultant for investors and financial advisors by practicing a true consultative approach. Our goal is to associate with high quality firms and individuals that are solely focused on solving for the needs of asset owners. Our willingness to refer clients to solutions regardless of our personal financial interest is the cornerstone of our philosophy.
The members in our group often spend a considerable amount of time consulting with advisory, investment and technology firms to; develop a clear powerful message that accurately describes the value of their process, explore a new distribution outlet, design or evaluate a new strategy, locate and/or train new staff, evaluate and build out back-office operations or explore options to re-capitalize their firm. In these roles we are consultants only with a goal to deliver tangible results in the areas of; product/solution design, pricing, distribution, sales, marketing, communication, succession planning, etc. We also assist firms with the due diligence process, website design, communications and many other necessary elements of business expansion.
We provide an independent source of information and insight on a firm's investment, advisory or administration process, positioning within their own competitive landscape and that of the broad industry. Our experience and insight enables us to spot developing trends and help firms not only understand the drivers of change but position themselves to take advantage of it
On occasion one or more of our members may engage directly with a specific asset owner, advisor or investment /admin solution provider. They may offer research or vendor search services, product development assistance, sales, marketing or operations support, and management guidance or board leadership services.
Advisory firms may retain us to locate or analyze a technology solution, gain direct access to investment solutions, locate a key hire or strategic partner, develop a peer-to-peer network, source capital for M&A, assist them with their investment process, products or research.
For investment firms we are often called on to help them with M&A, new product design, distribution strategy and partnerships or tactical sales execution. Often when a firm is looking to enter a new distribution channel or expand an existing one, we may be engaged to seek a partner or provide direct sales and sales support professionals with a strong track record of success.
